Upper Deep Creek Landcare Network in partnership with TreeProject, will be taking their plant propagation workshops on the road and bringing seedlings to a town near you!
TreeProject is non-profit, volunteer-based organisation leading the way in sustainable revegetation throughout Victoria, by providing low-cost native seedlings to landholders and Landcare groups. TreeProject began in 1989, and since then volunteer TreeProject growers have propagated over two million seedlings that have been planted by Landcare groups, landholders, and environmental volunteers. The TreeProject system is simple but sound – train volunteers to grow native seedlings from seed in their backyards, and after six months the seedlings are planted out in well-managed revegetation sites by Landcare groups and landholders.
We're holding introductory information sessions on becoming a TreeProject grower, with hands-on plant propagation training. Workshops will be held in Lancefield, Gisborne, Sunbury and Wallan in September.
Previous events include - Property Planning Course, Propagation days, Clean Up Australia Day, revegetation events, farm tours, Bush dance and more.
